It will be paired with a choli, which is a top that rises high to reveal the midriff. The final component will be the dupata, which is a long scarf like garment.
In addition to rich coloring, these items may contain one or many types of embellishment. Many brides will want to have traditional embroidery along the borders and edges of the garments. This type of embroidery is often done in metallic colored thread such as gold or silver. Some brides will want jewel like stones or crystals as decoration. They often use the Austrian style crystals that are common in jewelry making. These types are known to throw off considerable fire and light.
Pakistani wedding dresses are generally the same as the Indian style varieties. These brides also like to wear the same types of beautiful clothing for their ceremonies and many of the items sold under the Indian headings are suitable for them.
